BODY AND SOUL

Rendition of Neuron Synapse

In the image a rendition of the neuron's synapse is shown. It is the connection where chemical communication occurs and travels in the brain The process of both our thought and physical expression lay across this construction, the basis of both brain and mind. But when compromised by symptoms of disease such as Parkinson's and Dementia the results are deleterious to everyday function as well as meaning.
In our interview segment from the Life of Meaning this week, we hear from Rev, William Abernathy, who has for over eighteen years suffered with Parkinson's disease. While his being a "religious person" neither held him immune from disease nor felt that his experience is particularly special compared to others who suffer through chronic ailments, he does question the presence of God's participation in his healing?
As a result of his experience he presents with four conclusions regarding his suffering and his personal interpretation. It is an expression of one's individual impressions from the physical and mindful relation to his own body and to God/Community as a whole.
He also is fairly straight about his presence of anger in this. Damn it!
What do you think about his approach and his four observations?
What about his anger and his coming to understand what our relationship with the spiritual is?
