THE EIGHT FOLD PATH

Where are the "Hardliners" in this schematic??
This week for Terra Incognita we introduce ourselves to the Buddhist tradition, by way of the 14th Dalai Lama. A widely recognized world ambassador for the spiritual tradition of the East, he gives a succinct and purposeful response regarding his faith tradition and its place in the world. Not surprising, since he spends 5 hours a day in "analytical" meditation. The Dalai Lama has also been in continual exile in the Tibetan region of the world since 1959 when China and Tibet came to political and social conflict over Tibetan sovereignty.

Several aspects are of interest from his interview.

I am a human being. Analytical meditation.

His respect for certain Christian sojourners.

Tradition in the role of the faithful and the transitional.

The danger of "I am enlightened."
